Wett Ones take 1st place!

24 Wett Ones competed at the Central Coast Carnival (Gosford) on Saturday 21 January 2012.

Not only did we impress with our swimming and the size of our contingent, we were the top point scoring club!

Well done Wetties!!

Fair Day 2012 - We need you!

I joined Wett Ones for fitness and friendship in May 2010. Prior to this I hadn't done any swim training since Uni in Japan more than a decade ago. When I first joined the club I remember that I was struggling to keep up with the training programs for ‘Lane 8'. Now, after more than a year with the club, I am pretty comfortable with regular training sessions and even started enjoying the tougher sessions, moving up to ‘Lane 7' in the process. I can see that I am becoming more competitive. When I was a student I competed often, mostly in breaststroke. It will be very difficult to get back to my peak level, but my secret goal is to break my record for the 100m & 200m breaststroke. (I know I need more training!!) Apart from swim training, since I joined Wett Ones, I've met lots of new people and enjoyed social activities such as the monthly cake night & Hunter Valley wine tour. Now I feel like Wett Ones has opened a new door for me to have a great time in Sydney.
